Terms of Service in Houston, TX 77069

Last Updated: 9/2/2026

What Our Water Restoration Terms Cover

Houston Water Damage Pros provides emergency water extraction, moisture control, and structural drying for homes and other approved properties. Work is planned with the IICRC S500 water damage restoration standard in mind.

The service may include inspection, standing-water removal, equipment placement, monitoring, and removal of materials that cannot be dried safely. Category 3 sewage is handled as regulated waste when applicable, with work directed by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation requirements and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Mold assessment or remediation, reconstruction, plumbing, electrical work, asbestos handling, lead-related renovation, confined-space entry, floodplain development, and wastewater disposal may require a separate agreement or licensed trade. Texas Occupations Code mold assessment licensing, OSHA 29 CFR 1910 confined space entry, the EPA RRP lead-safe renovation rule, TCEQ wastewater discharge restrictions, and City of Houston Department of Public Works requirements may apply. Houston Chapter 19 floodplain development permits and Federal Emergency Management Agency rules may also affect certain properties.

Appointments, Changes, and Cancellations

Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another written method accepted by Houston Water Damage Pros. We use the agreed arrival window, property address, access instructions, emergency conditions, and requested work to plan a visit. Please provide prompt notice if access changes, another contractor is working onsite, or unsafe conditions develop.

You may ask to cancel or move an appointment before arrival. Notice does not guarantee that charges will be avoided if labor, travel, rented equipment, or other approved costs have already been incurred.

A change in affected areas, materials, drying conditions, disposal needs, or requested tasks may change the scope. We will explain the change and seek your approval before beginning added work when practical.

Emergency conditions may require immediate steps to limit damage or protect people and property. If a customer delays access or approval, the schedule and drying results may be affected. Written changes, texts, emails, or signed work orders may be used to confirm the revised plan.

Written Quotes and Payment Responsibilities

An estimate describes the work Houston Water Damage Pros expects to perform based on visible conditions, available information, and the requested scope. Hidden damage, trapped moisture, changing site conditions, disposal requirements, or safety controls may require a revised estimate. An estimate is not a promise that concealed conditions will not affect the final amount.

Before work begins, we may request approval of the proposed scope and any available insurance or billing information. Payment is due according to the written work order, invoice, or other agreement provided for the project.

Customers remain responsible for charges not paid by an insurer, landlord, lender, or another third party. Insurance submission does not transfer the payment obligation unless we agree in writing.

Added work requires customer approval when practical, except for urgent steps needed to prevent further damage or address an immediate safety concern. Questions about an invoice should be raised promptly so the records can be reviewed.

Workmanship Commitments and Written Guarantees

Houston Water Damage Pros stands behind work it performs with reasonable care and according to the approved scope. Our primary commitment is to carry out extraction, drying, monitoring, and related tasks using appropriate methods, equipment, and job records. Drying results can depend on conditions outside our control, including hidden moisture, building design, delayed access, power loss, continued leaks, weather, or actions by other parties.

These Terms do not create a specific warranty period unless a separate written document states one. Any written guarantee applies only to the work and materials identified in that document.

Coverage may not apply when a customer denies access, changes the work, ignores recommended steps, fails to disclose hazards, permits another party to alter the work, or leaves the source of water unrepaired. A warranty request should identify the property, service date, and concern.

We may inspect the affected area before deciding what corrective action, if any, is appropriate. These terms do not replace rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Responsibility for Site Conditions and Service Risk

To the extent allowed by Texas law, Houston Water Damage Pros will not be responsible for loss caused by pre-existing damage, concealed defects, an unrepaired water source, mold or microbial growth that was already present, utility failure, unsafe access, delayed authorization, customer instructions, or another contractor’s work. We also cannot promise that drying will prevent every later repair or health concern. Work follows the approved scope and, where applicable, the IICRC S500 water damage restoration standard.

Unless law requires otherwise, our responsibility for a claim related to services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including certain willful acts or obligations under applicable law.

Mold-related work may require licensing under the Texas Occupations Code. OSHA 29 CFR 1910 confined space entry, the EPA RRP lead-safe renovation rule, TCEQ wastewater discharge restrictions, and Houston Chapter 19 floodplain development permit requirements may restrict work or require others to act. Category 3 sewage handling follows applicable regulated-waste requirements.

Service Expert at Houston Water Damage Pros

I started in Houston property maintenance and moved into water restoration after seeing how freeze events, burst copper pipes, and flash flooding along Buffalo Bayou damage homes. I built my trade around IICRC WRT practices, moisture mapping, and structural drying, with Houston’s humid subtropical climate and 24–48-hour mold-risk window guiding how I respond.
